the letter from hogwarts was something nemesis cherished and cared for. she framed the piece of parchment in a large silver frame and placed it up above her bed. it wasn't everyday that a girl was accepted into hogwarts. it meant she was better. she was better than all the squibs out there. she was better than all the muggles out there. she had potential and with enough effort and hard work, nemmy could be better than many witches and wizards out there. nemmy counted down the days til she could break through the doors of hogwarts and begin studying for her future. on that first day, nemesis was too in shock to study at all. her first dream was coming true, she was at hogwarts. when the sorting hat was placed upon her small first-year head, her second dream came true. the hat spitted out the word "ambitious" before saying declaring that nemesis was destined to be in ravenclaw. two dreams down, many more to go.

despite the fact that she was destined to be a ravenclaw, nemesis had the personality traits that settled in well with the slytherins. she found herself sticking with her cousins and other relatives down in the dungeons rather than socializing and studying with other ravenclaws, especially during her first four or five years at hogwarts. nemmy felt comfortable being around with people she had known since infancy, people she knew were up to her standards. she learned not to give a damn what her house mates thought. family and kindred spirits came first.
