Twenty-two years have passed since the Dark Lord was vanquished by Harry Potter. In his wake, he left peace and a sanctuary for wizards and witches and squibs. Magical schools all across the world are thriving and making way for some of the brightest and most brilliant magical students of their time. Of course, not everyone falls into said category, but success can be found anywhere.

Maybe this was the reason for Beauxbatons and Durmstrang teaming up to overpower Hogwarts and encourage them to open their doors to a magical exchange programs. With a new, naïve headmistress it was an easy task to convince her. Hogwarts students were alerted in letters sent out a month before the year began about the arrivals from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, the schools being from France and Bulgaria. Two weeks later another letter went out with the names of two new schools on it: Salem and Kaito, one located in America and the other located on an island near Japan.

Their headmistress or headmaster would be bringing almost ¾ of their school to study at Hogwarts for the entire year. During this time, students are expected to develop new friendships, keep up with their studies, and learn the difference between their own school and Hogwarts. Even Hogwarts students are expected to follow these rules. Each student was also required to know a working knowledge of English before being accepted to the program. The officials decided that everyone should be able to get along if they followed these guidelines.

Unfortunately, the students disagreed. Within the first few hours of the school year, fights broke out among students from different schools, as well as the Hogwarts houses. The next day, the schools had hired aurors and aurors-in-training to patrol the hallways at all times. Still trouble is in every corner. The teachers are only making it worse by playing favorites and with some, showing who they don’t like. It was promised that the program would last all year and the officials can do nothing about it except wait it out.
